Carawan is an experienced clinical psychologist and has provided treatment for a wide range of mental health issues.  Carawan is also an EMDR practitioner and is experienced in trauma-informed psychological interventions. Carawan has an interest in perinatal anxiety, and depression, and has completed research into perinatal depression among the Arab-Australian community.

Carawan works with vulnerable communities across the life-span, including families at risk of having their children removed by DCJ, supporting parents of children with challenging behaviours, refugees, and those suffering from a disability or domestic violence. Carawan can conduct clinical diagnostic assessments, interpretation and prognosis, treatment planning, and recommendations. 

Outside of work hours, Carawan enjoys bush walks, coffee, and learning about holistic health. Oh, and you’ll probably see her cry from laughter.
